LFW Day#1: Eudon Choi
WHO: Eudon Choi
WHERE: Vauxhall Fashion Scout @ Freemasons’ Hall
FRONT ROW: Susie Bubble, Caroline Issa, Amelia Gregory of Amelia’s Magazine and Team ELLE who were out in force.
WHAT: Last season’s Merit Award winner and a previous One to Watch, Eudon certainly didn’t disappoint or diverge from his signature look; the ‘Haute Ecole’ collection was classic masculine meets feminine. Uniform hues of navy, tan, chocolate and charcoal, a crisp white shirt and exaggerated rounded shoulders and sweaters all underlined the scholastic influence – all welcome developments to his edgy but effortless aesthetic. Yet it was the usuals that made us swoon; apron-like skirts, equestrian-inspired harnesses and buckles and minimal fuss. It was utility gone romantic.
HIGHLIGHT: We shared a moment with ELLE’s Emma Sells and Bonnie Rakhit gushing over the coats: two-tone black with mohawk fur and cream with a oversized brown buckled pocket. QUOTES: Jessica Nails tweeted that ‘Jessica’s Creamy Caramel was the pick for the Eudon Choi show for fingers and toes. Chic, elegant and perfectly groomed’ while curator/director of SALON (LONDON) and editorial co-ordinator at Architects’ Journal/Architectural Review, Crystal Bennes tweeted ‘hands down best show I saw today was Eudon Choi.’ We can’t argue with that!
